During morning walks in the garden, the dew releases its earthy scents. Here, I painted a landscape work inspired by freshness which, for me, has a bluish color. The freedom of gesture here was essential and the watercolor treatment with overlays of Japanese paper collages adds interesting textures and patterns. Unlike my series of flower pots where flowers are highlighted, here they are rather suggested in the work. Because what I want is to create a pictorial work of a landscape that is much more abstract than figurative.
