In the country where I live, in Canada, especially in Quebec, autumns come quickly and the leaves on the trees fall around mid-October. A few leaves manage to catch on. It was by observing these natural phenomena that I came to paint this semi-abstract work in autumn tones. Ochres, greys, yellows and white because sometimes the snow falls early and leaves us with small patches of snow waiting for the ground to be completely white. Mixed techniques have been used using quality paper collages, structural mortar, and hydrangea flower petals that are magnificent in their shades of rose/fushia. The work is varnished and painted on the sides in black. It is ready to hang in your home decor!
Original canvas on quality canvas. Mixed techniques with acrylic. Certificate of authenticity provided.
